At times milk was used to produce a luster impact on the glass. They at some point were identified as Kakamba Prosser beads, named after the city inside the Republic of Congo in which they were being traded. Prosser beads began to slide out of favor while in the early 1900’s when much more elaborate glass bead models had been released in Africa.
